Beets me

Be a TABbie

Not that ^ kind of tabby, I mean the Samsung Galaxy Tabbie.

Normally when people bring up specifics like the megapixel value on my phone’s camera or the processor on my laptop, I tune out or walk away from the conversation. Its safe to say I’m not the most tech savvy person and I have no intention of changing that.

Here’s why I actually got curious when I saw a picture of the Samsung Galaxy Tab

Its thin

Its sleek

and its the most charming piece of technology I’ve come across (It actually looks like its winking when the light glints off of the HD screen)

Now I know a million people have compared the iPad to the Tab and written pages about how the Operating system on one tab is just so much more practical for something that sounds way too cool and technical. Here’s my list of reasons for why I would love to own a tab:

( On the) Go for it :

1. Augmented Reality, apart from sounding extremely fancy, also happens to be quite fancy. You can play with the world around you, literally and in HD.

2. Not a big fan of ebooks, I like my books the old-fashioned way-on paper. However, looking at that 7 inch screen and knowing that I have a long train ride to look forward to, it makes the eReading feature almost as irresistible as a brownie coated with chocolate syrup.

3. For someone as direction-ally challenged as I am, the Navigation system is a Godsend. Being one of those people who gets lost on the way home from the corner-store, this feature is just the cherry on top of the delicious tab-sundae.

4. As an ardent Skype user, the video-conferencing feature “calls out” to me. Oddly enough ever since I saw this ad for the tab, I’ve had the urge to start telecommuting.

Android

I have a phone that’s powered by Android and therefore speak from experience when I say that Android RULES. If you’d prefer a more justified approach to the praise:

-The Android market has every App you could possibly want- games, enetertainment, lifestyle and some stuff that just cannot be categorised(like an App to rate your watermelon)
-The browsing speed is amazing. If you’re an entertainment-junkie like I am and happen to have Youtube-ing down as one of your hobbies, then you’ll love it. Videos buffer in seconds and its so easy.

-I want to say its user-friendly, but the term has just lost all meaning in the tech-world today. Its a delight to use and they’re the additional fact that the little Android that appears when you start-up is really cute, as are the android smileys.

Access-soiree

1. The in-box contents are your standard stuff, but what I find very exciting are the optional contents. The keyboard dock and the desktop dock and the vehicle dock are very very nice.
Maybe I’m just a dock-fan, but they’re so practical, yet spectacularly comfortable and also chic.

The compactness of the Tab is amazing as are the more specific features for the more technologically inclined people. I would definitely jump at the chance to own the Tab, just because of its size and the fact that it has a long battery life(every girl’s dream is a gadget you never have to charge again :P).
